Training Philosophy
Personal Fitness was created in an effort to provide safe, practical, fitness and nutritional advice. Unfortunately we spend much of our time dispelling many infomercial claims to our clients. Most often it is what we call the 'magic theory'. The magic-theory approach is appealing because it requires no responsibility. You simply fall in to a 'system' and 'they' tell you what to do. You don't even need to think. (You just suffer.) The system has all the answers, and if you fall, well, then it's your fault because you weren't a good 'dieter'. The magic-theory has left millions of people in hopeless despair (and hungry) in their never-ending quest to be thin.
The Personal Fitness approach uses a more common sense method: proper nutrition and productive, safe supervised exercise. All new Personal Fitness members receive a comprehensive nutrition and exercise reference manual at their consultation/evaluation. This manual helps you understand the delicate balance and interrelationships our bodies maintain with food and exercise. Our training philosophy is an ongoing discussion with clients of the principles relating to the physiological aspects of long term weight management.
So, let us give you the help you deserve and let Personal Fitness help shape you into the healthy fit person you wish to be. We hope to be hearing from you very soon.
In good health,
Randy Sabourin
